The fourth-grade pupils at Wells Academy dissected owl pellets in their science class, which enabled them to learn more about the eating habits of the owl. The pellets are full of bones from the animal the owl ate, and students were able to distinguish bone fragments. It was an opportunity for a hands-on life science lesson that engaged the pupils.
