Robert M. Baker Sr., 80, of Hudson, Fla., formerly of Cresson, passed away Wednesday at Gulfside Hospice at Heather Hill, New Port Ritchey, Fla. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Leo A. and Grace M. (Noel) Baker.

Surviving are his children: Robert (Cheri) of Ijamsville, Md., Shelley Baker of Hudson, Fla., and Lori (Sean) Fagan, of Morgantown, W.Va. He enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Trey (Courtney) Baker, Samantha Baker, Austin Harrell, Kirbea Harrell, Jared Fagan, Brady Fagan, Haydn Marley and Declan Baker. Robert is also survived by one sister, Dorothy (Sr. Gracetter) Baker.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith L. (Gettings), with whom he shared 57 years of marriage; brothers: Paul, John, Joseph, Leo, Melvin and Eugene Baker; sisters: Rita (Sr. DiRicci) Baker, Margaret Janssen, Mary Plazek, Janet Baker and Grace Grover.

Bob was an avid sports fan and loved to watch his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting activities. He especially loved supporting both Notre Dame football and Bishop Carroll athletics.

Due to the recent COVID-19 recommendations and restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service. A memorial Mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at St. Aloysius Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson.
