OCEAN CITY, Md. – In Ocean City, Ocean 13 says they have definitely felt the effects of the pandemic.
They tell 47 ABC that after a lot of thought and planning they reopened this weekend and are offering pick up services for customers.
They’re also depending on online engagement to stay connected with their customers as well.
We’re told because their business is located on the boardwalk the town’s decision to reopen the area to the general public was crucial to help them stay afloat.
“Being located on the boardwalk the majority of your traffic, the majority of your sales come from the boardwalk and even the locals they ride up and down the boardwalk, so the boardwalk being open is huge for us,” said Steven Bowers, owner at Ocean 13.
Bowers says he and his team hopes to offer outdoor seating for their customers and then indoor seating while maintaining public safety sooner rather than later. For more information about Ocean 13, click here.
