CLEVELAND, Ohio — Journalists Sougata Mukherjee and Andy Medici will offer updates and insights into the federal Paycheck Protection Program at a free Cleveland Business Journal virtual event on Thursday, June 4, at 2 p.m.
Mukherjee and Medici have written extensively about the program since its inception as part of the federal CARES Act that went into effect on March 27. The journalists work for American City Business Journals, which publishes 44 business journals across the United States.
Paycheck Protection is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll during the coronavirus pandemic.
The meet-up, hosted on Zoom, will give a comprehensive update on the program and answer attendees’ questions.
Jon Wile, the American City Business Journal’s vice president of content, will moderate the discussion.
Mukherjee has been editor of the Triangle Business Journal for nearly 20 years. Prior to that at the company, he was the Washington bureau chief, reporting on the Small Business Administration and other federal institutions.
Medici has covered the money beat for the Washington Business Journal for the past five years. Prior to that assignment, he worked at The Federal Times in Washington as a reporter covering the federal government.
You can register for the event here. A recording of the event will be posted online afterward.
