The backpack that Katie Price wore during her stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here has been stolen by home invaders.

Katie, who appeared as a contestant on the ITV reality series in 2004 and again in 2009, is said to have been left ‘devastated’ after her £1.3 million Sussex property – which is currently being renovated – was broken into and flooded by trespassers. Katie was not at home at the time.

It has been revealed that the thieves ran off with the backpack and water bottle that Katie used during her first stint on the show in 2004.

According to reports, the reality star believes that the culprits ‘set out to cause her pain’ and ‘must have known’ how much the items meant to her.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie realised that the only thing that was taken from the house was her backpack and water bottle from her first I’m A Celebrity appearance – the one where she met Peter [Andre].

‘It’s one of her most treasured possessions and that’s why it’s so terrifying – whoever broke in must have known what it meant to her, and set out to cause her pain.

‘She’s hoping it’ll be returned as the police have recovered evidence at the house.’

Katie’s publicist later confirmed the news of the missing items, stating: ‘Katie will never be able to replace the rucksack.

‘Not only is this a piece of reality jungle memorabilia – but [it] holds great personal value to Katie.’

Earlier this week, it was reported that the 42-year-old had been left ‘fearful’ after her home – also known as her so-called ‘mucky mansion’ – had been broken into, and believes it was carried out by someone with a ‘vendetta’ against her and her work against social media trolls.

Another insider claimed: ‘Katie is devastated. She is fearful that whoever has done this has a vendetta against her and even thinks it could be linked to her standing up against social media bullying trolls.

‘This crime was committed to cause as much impact and personal upset as possible to Katie.’

During the invasion, the trespassers caused the ground floor ceiling to collapse, causing thousands of pounds of damage to the newly refurbished kitchen.
