FSIS releases health alert for taquitos, chimichangas

According to a news release Saturday by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the regulated diced green chilies were recalled by their producer, Sun Valley Foods of Detroit, because of concerns the products may contain extraneous materials, including hard plastic. Those materials could cause a choking hazard or cause damage to teeth and gums, the FSIS said.
